I don't understand exactly what you want to say by this. the users you referred are decresing? I don't know if this is posible only if there is a problem with the database. Please explain a litle more.

I agree that we need more people to make this site grow but I disagree that referring people is tied to what you can get out of this site.

According to the stats I am one of the more active people on here. So I am voting for a lot of people and helping them out using my accounts. But because I don't refer people I can't reap the rewards as much. That is pure and utter bullshit. while it might not be active now that can lead to people getting a real bad taste in their mouths. Active people should be rewarded as much as people that refer users.

Also you may want to remove the link to blog catalog in the sign up page. They aren't too happy about that.

You have a point there but:
1. this is a new site with few users and in order for this to work better we need to expand.
2. the limits i'm placing are above the site capacity to give votes at this time so this limit migh only aply somethime in the future when will have more users than the limit actualy is.
3. So you can use the system without referring anyone and still will get benefit from it, but i need to give award in some way the users who are helping me. I also made an 100$ contest( but i think that's only simbolic).

I noticed today the amount of link referrals I am getting is way low compared to usual.

Also I noticed that you have the link to the referral program saying that it impacts the amounts of times our links our shown. I find that extremely unfair especially for someone that is active with voting for whatever is coming in.

I have a pretty powerful stumbleupon account and I don't mind helping out other bloggers. But to be punished because I am not going to run around promoting a site is really unfair.

If I am not going to gain anything out of the system because I won't promote a referral link than I don't know if I want to participate. Going with this setup is going to turn off a lot of people.

This got me on the front page of reddit all day yesterday. I don't care if a few people accidentally click. If you have something that is any good this will still get you enough of a boost to fight the down voting bots and get some good traffic.

Yes about 20% of people aren't actualy voting. This is probably becouse the links are not categorysed and people who only want to use one social network and not the others have to click the link for the next tasks to apear. But i think i have solved this problem by rss feeds specific for each social network.
